Mahashivaratri: The Great Night of Shiva with Los Satyas & Narayana – CDMX

A night of Yogic celebration: Mahashivaratri… Live and in person, in a beautiful venue, in Mexico City…

We are 3 great friends, Yoga practitioners, with the sincere intention of connecting with the Divine on this sacred night.

Huerto Roma Verde – Sunday, February 15 – from 8 PM to 6 AM

What is Sivaratri and why should it be celebrated?

Mahashivaratri is one of the most sacred and significant festivals in India and the yogic community worldwide. The festival celebrates the grace of Shiva, considered the Adi Guru, or the First Guru, from whom the Yogic tradition originates. On this night—the darkest of the year—the planetary positions create a powerful natural surge of energy in the human system. Staying awake and conscious in a vertical posture throughout the night is immensely beneficial for both physical and spiritual well-being.

The sadhana performed on this night is a powerful practice, serving as a portal of tremendous possibilities. From 8 PM until 6 AM the next day, participants are invited to remain awake, taking part in the rituals and continuous chanting. At some point during the night, it often feels as if one enters a trance that simply carries and sustains you throughout the night. No one is forced to maintain the vigil; if sleep calls and cannot be resisted, there is the option to rest. At 6 AM, the session concludes, and we partake in the sweet offerings prepared during the night… an absolutely unforgettable experience!

Narayana,

Born in Mexico City in 1985. In 2011, he took a Yoga class, and his life began to change (once again). Without expecting to become a Yoga teacher, he went to an ashram to deepen his own practice. For four years, he lived in ashrams learning from great masters. Part of his practice is sharing what he has learned. He has been sober since 2010 and dedicates as much time as possible to working with other addicts.
